Services

We provide a full range of services for the urban water conservation sector. We work with municipalities and other large water users to improve landscape water efficiency, reduce water waste and bring costs down. We perform Audits, water use investigations, water budget design,  consult and coaching for landscape companies and inhouse crews.

Audits:
Our audits are thorough and complete. We show you what your landscape is doing now, how to correct it, costs, benefits and ROI.

Water Budgets:
We can design a custom water budget for your landscape, based on your local evapotranspiration rates, type of vegetation, type of irrigation. Our budgets show monthly increase and decrease settings.

Site Investigations:
We provide investigations of as-built irrigation systems. Our inspections include metering, backflow, adherence to layout, adherence to codes regarding overspray and uniformity, flow rates, correct valving, and appropriate scheduling for the head types, soil types and precipitation rates. We perform audits as needed, and create an annual water budget for the site based on local ET.

Consulting:
We provide consultation services for water providers and property owners for existing sites or proposed irrigation systems. We specialize in correcting runoff and uniformity problems. We evaluate existing systems for uniformity, causes of runoff, scheduling, and adherence to local ET rates. We provide written reports identifying areas of concern and measures needed to correct problems. Our services result in water savings, a healthier landscape, better road beds, energy savings, and a positive public perception of the client. 

Instruction:
We provide ongoing instruction for staff, irrigation crews and contractors in Best Management Practices (BMPs) for irrigation. Attendees find our classes very beneficial and result in substantial water savings, while improving the health of the landscape. WE also provide field instruction for contractors in new technologies such as subsurface, MP type heads, and ET smart controllers.

Legal:
We provide investigation and expert witness services for issues involving landscape water damage or disputes. We remain impartial in all regards, seeking only the facts regarding the irrigation systems in question. Laurence Budd is a Certified Landscape Technician in Irrigation, A Certified Landscape andCertified Landscape Irrigation Auditor. He has an extensive background in forensic evidence and testimony.

Installation of Smart Upgrades:
We are available nationally for installation or conversion of irrigation systems at sites to correct runoff, overspray and related issues.  We install smart upgrades, converting your system to a weather sensing system, automatically saving water whenever possible.

Laurence Budd, CLT, CLIA,  is available as a speaker on a wide range of irrigation and water conservation issues. His involvement with the "blue" and "green" industries and numerous state water conservation departments make him well qualified to give audiences an understanding of the big picture, urban water trends regionally and nationally. Laurence Budd serves on the editorial review board of Water efficiency Magazine, and submits articles on a regular basis.  We also produce informational video pieces for training and public awareness.
